Marc Porter, Ph.D

Marc D. Porter is a USTAR professor of chemical engineering and chemistry and adjunct professor in bioengineering and pathology at the University of Utah. Porter’s laboratory is focused on the development and validation of diagnostic tests using magnetoresistance (MR) and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection methodologies. He is concentrating his work on detection of Category A pathogens, tuberculosis, dengue and pancreatic and prostate cancer.
