The Utah Governor’s Medal for Science and Technology is the highest civilian award bestowed by the State in those fields. It is awarded in the three categories of academia/research, k-12 science education, and industry. The award was initiated in 1987 and is sponsored by the Utah Science and Technology Research Initiative.
