USTAR East works hard to bolster Utah’s economy by accelerating the commercialization of innovative energy projects and clean technologies. These two targeted sectors span projects that include energy efficiency, emissions reductions, renewable energy development, smart grids, and water management. Innovations in these sectors are taking place in the oil fields of the Uinta Basin, in the Electric Vehicle Roadway labs at Utah State University, and everywhere in between. Because each project comes with its own unique technical and business risks, East provides a breadth of support including coordination with industry, access to technical experts and facilities, and integration into USTAR grant programs.
Please contact us for information on additional programs managed by USTAR East including the Utah Energy Research Triangle (a collaboration with the Utah Office of Energy Development), the Waxy Crude Workshop and the Clean Tech Open. USTAR East is housed in the Energy and Geoscience Institute (EGI), which is located in the University of Utah’s Research Park.
